Wind Power Problems

A Bloomberg article reports that wind power faces a colossal market failure which will limit its ability to meet growing energy demands.

Wind power heavyweights Vestas Wind Systems A/SGeneral Electric Co. and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA are reeling from high raw material and logistics costs, changes in key clean-power subsidies, years of pressure on turbine prices and an expensive arms race to build ever-bigger machines.

Profitability problems may be another reason why we need nuclear power to meet energy needs that environmentalists had expected wind power to provide.
